As she came into work one December morning, Boston Public Schools nurse Velma Glover did not expect to save a life.
When Velma was alerted that a colleague was having a seizure, she rushed to his aid. Realizing that he was struggling to breathe, Velma directed staff to call 9-1-1 and secure an AED, as she immediately administered CPR – all without any hesitation. Thankfully, due to Velma’s quick-thinking support, the man regained consciousness and has since made a full recovery!
